From Istanbul to Paris

Sania Mirza failed to convert the advantage of a set lead and lost to Dutchwoman Michaella Krajicek of Netherlands 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 in 2nd round at Istanbul, Turkey on wednesday. Sania was 5th seeded in this US $200,000 WTA Tour event. Earlier in first round Sania had an easy win over opponent Ipek Senoglu in straight set 6-3, 6-1.

Sania was out of the circuit for three weeks with multiple injuries and slipped to 38 in the WTA ranking last week. She is now set to compete in the French Open starting May 28.

We are hoping that she'll start her Paris campaign with the same kind of vengeance she showed last year all around the globe.
